CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Fox called the Benton County Fire District #3 Meeting to order at 6:40 p.m.

Board Members Rick Baker, Larry Mercer and Chief Douglas Merritt were present.

CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

No citizen participation was received.

BOARD REPORTS AND COMMENTS

No board reports and comments were received.

APPROVAL OF JANUARY 5, 2009 MINUTES

A motion was made by Board Member Baker, seconded by Board Member Mercer to approve the January 5, 2009 minutes. Motion carried unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS

Chief Merritt stated there was not any new information on the use of petty cash for the paying of fees.

NEW BUSINESS

December 2008 Financials

The Board discussed the December 2008 financials.

Chief Merritt stated the interest on the cash account is taken by the treasure as maintenance for the account and encouraged the Board to consider transferring monies from the cash account to the investment account.

A motion was made by Board Member Mercer, seconded by Board Member Baker to approve the 2008 Financials. Motion carried unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business before the Benton County Fire District #3 Board at this time, the Board Meeting of the Benton County Fire District #3 was adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
