We are located in the heart of Washington Wine
country between Yakima, and the Tri-Cities. Our Department serves the
City of Prosser and 170 square miles of rural Benton County. We
strive to provide exceptional service to our community through
continuous training in both structural and wildland fire suppresion
tactics as well as, EMS , and rescue services.
Fire Chief's Welcome Welcome to the Prosser Fire District 3 Web Site. We are a combination fire department consisting of volunteer firefighters and three paid staff.With a budget of $600,000, we operate out of two stations providing service to 13,500 residents covering 170 square miles of urban, rural, and agricultural land. Prosser Fire District 3 personnel are trained in both wildland and structural firefighting. Our department also provides BLS (Basic Life Support) medical response and various rescue operations including swift water. The Chief and Captains provide code enforcement, fire prevention and public education with support by our volunteers. Our Fire Department is a progressive organization.
